    • What Kind of Warranty or Guarantee Do You Offer?

Other plumbers have a ‘Concrete Guarantee’- when their truck leaves your concrete driveway their guarantee expires! Not with Bono Plumbing! We strive for customer satisfaction. We offer a 6-month (180 day) Labor warranty on our workmanship, you could get a standard 1-6 year manufacturers warranty on plumbing fixtures depending on the items purchased. However, we can not offer warranties on any stoppages or owner-provided parts.

    • Do You Offer 24 Hour Emergency Service?

We no longer provide 24-hour service. If we’re unavailable to take your call please leave us a detailed message and we will return your call as soon as possible!

    • Do You Offer Appointments Outside of Your Regularly Scheduled Service Hours?

Yes, we do. Anything outside of our normal hours is charged at overtime rates.

    • Can You Provide Prices Over the Phone?

An expert plumber must first see and diagnose the existing issue(s). Then, he can provide an accurate, on the spot estimate of the project’s cost. For that reason, we do not provide pricing over the phone. Most of our work is done at a flat-rate, so you can rest assured that we will not be charging excessively for time or materials.

    • What Are Your Regularly Scheduled Service Hours?

Our regularly scheduled service hours are Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.

    • Do you offer free estimates?

For residents of St. Charles County, Lincoln County, and Warren County, we DO provide free, in-home estimates on remodeling projects, rough-ins, gas lines, new installations, and more.

St. Louis County residents will incur a $45 trip fee for an estimate that is applied toward the cost of the project upon approval of the estimate.

We DO NOT provide free estimates on plumbing issues.

    • Why is the Water Coming Out of My Faucets Brown?

There are actually quite a few reasons why your water may come out looking discolored. Chemicals in water lines can often create a rust problem when water sits idle in the pipes. Rust residue can clog water faucets, fixtures, and other home appliances as well. Broken underground pipes can also be another issue, as these pipes allow dirt and other pollutants to infiltrate your plumbing lines. Another reason for discoloration could be an increase of iron in your system. Whatever the reason, it is a good idea to have us test your water for your family’s health and safety, and in order to determine what the problem is and offer suggestions on how to fix it.

    • How Do I Fix a Jammed Garbage Disposal?

Often you can insert a wrench into the bottom of the disposal and turn it a few times to free the jam, but DO NOT FORCE IT! You can easily cause serious damage to the disposal motor, your home electrical system, and even yourself! Bono Plumbing can normally fix a jammed disposal, if not, it might need to be replaced, but calling us would be your best bet to help save you time and money!

    • What is the Problem When There is a Loud Banging Noise When the Faucets Are Turned on and Off?

This is normally caused by a defective washer causing sudden increased water pressure through the pipes. Sometimes it is an easy fix, other times, not so much. Either way, give us a call so we can diagnose what’s going on. Often people wait until it’s too late, when that bang becomes a leak or a break and then they have water damage through their walls. So don’t wait!

    • Is There a Problem if My Toilet is Running?

Yes! It’s not just a problem, it’s an annoyance and it’s costing you money on your water bill every month! In fact, a running toilet can cost you upward of $80-$100 per month extra on your water bill! If a toilet continues to run after it is flushed, this usually means that there is a problem with the internal mechanics of the toilet. Often a little jiggle of the flushing valve will solve your problem, if not, the mechanics might need to be replaced. If the problem persists, call Bono Plumbing right away to analyze the issue.

    • What Happens if My Water Heater is Leaking?

Water heater leaks are usually a sign of deterioration. If your water heater starts to leak, make sure to turn the water off immediately and give us a call. Small leaks can turn into major (and costly) repairs if put off. More than likely, you will need a new water heater, but before we jump to any conclusions, Bono Plumbing can take a look and provide the most cost-effective solutions.

    • How Can I Prevent My Pipes From Leaking?

The biggest key is regular maintenance and inspection. Rust and/or lime buildup on pipes is a major indication of a leak. If you notice either, contact Bono Plumbing right away, and we will take care of it in a flash. Keeping up with a quick maintenance inspection at least once a year can save you a lot of time, money and headaches in the long run.

    • What Causes My Faucet to Drip or Leak?

When faucets begin to drip or leak, it is usually the internal mechanics that have worn down and need to be replaced. This is actually a pretty quick and cheap fix, but the life of your faucets can be prolonged by gently turning them on and off rather than pulling them harshly.

  • Drain

    • What Happens When Roots Get in My Drains?

When roots get in your pipes they continue to grow and begin to clog the pipes by catching all of the debris flowing from your home to the main sewer. This causes reduced flow through the pipes which in turn causes drains to run slower, eventually causing a complete blockage. Often the roots will expand causing pressure to build on the crack or in the joint which normally results in pipe breaks and total collapses, which can sometimes require extensive repair and/or replacement. While we no longer unclog sewer lateral pipes, we’d be happy to unclog kitchen and bathroom sinks, showers, toilet drains, or any other plumbing fixtures that might be clogged.

    • Why Does My Drain Get Clogged?

There are many causes of drain clogs including root intrusion in your drain pipes or outdated and broken pipes, but the most common reason for drain clogs is due to human negligence. In the kitchen, hardened grease and fat from cooking, food scraps, and small kitchen items are usually the culprit. In the bathroom, fallen hair, residue, and soap fragments are normally to blame. Toilet, bathtub and sink backups are generally caused by flushing of non-disposable items such as wipes, paper towels and feminine waste products. Just be more aware of what goes down your drains, and if a clog does appear, be careful. Although liquid drain cleaners can sometimes offer a quick fix to the problem, using them too often can cause bigger problems to your drains in the long run. To prevent any future clogs, make sure to dispose of grease and fat from cooking in the trash, fit all of your household drains with strainers or filters to catch all of those unwanted particles from going down the drain and make sure not to flush any non-disposables down the toilet.

  • Faucet Fixtures

    • Do You Have a Leaky Faucet in Your Bathroom or Kitchen?

A leaky faucet can either drip from the base or the end of the faucet, both of which are fixable. This can be caused by the faucet coming loose or a weakened or damaged gasket or seal. In this instance, the leaking water can be annoying but can be repaired. Whether the gaskets need to be replaced or a sealant needs to be placed on the faucet, we can inspect your faucet and determine the cause of the leak and remedy it efficiently.

    • Is the Water Pressure Low in Your Faucet?

Does it feel like it takes forever for the water to drip out of your faucet? This is a noticeable problem when there is a clog in the faucet that needs to be repaired. This typically occurs in the aerator of the faucet, which is the end piece that moderates the flow of the water. Before attempting to take your faucet apart, which can cause further damage, give Bono Plumbing, LLC a call. We can come to your home and inspect the faucet to determine the cause of the low water pressure. Once determined we can efficiently remedy the issues on the spot.

  • Water Treatment

    • What Type of Water Treatment System Is Best?
There are many options for water treatment and being confused about your options is normal. The best system depends on what is causing poor water quality. For example, if your problem is hard water, a water softener is probably the best solution. If you are concerned about chemicals, a whole-house water filtration system may be the right choice. We can help you find the ideal system for your home.
    • How Do Whole-House Water Filters Work?
A point-of-use water filter is installed on one faucet or plumbing fixture and filters the water just for that fixture. Whole-house water filtration systems are designed to filter all the water in the house, so you have clean water at every faucet and fixture. These filtration systems are installed at the place where the main water supply enters your house.
    • Why Is My Water Hard?
Hardness is caused by excessive mineral content in the water, specifically calcium and magnesium. Signs of hard water include scale buildup in plumbing fixtures and appliances, soap that doesn’t lather well, rust stains in plumbing fixtures, and dingy-looking clothing after washing.
    • How Effective Is Home Water Treatment?
The effectiveness depends on the type of system you choose and the type of filtration. It is important to choose a system that is designed to remove the contaminants you need removed from your water, the quality of the equipment, and the installation. Your plumber can help you choose a quality water treatment system for your home and make sure it is installed properly.
  • Garbage Disposals

    • What Causes a Garbage Disposal to Become Damaged or Stop Working?

One of the most common reasons for a clogged or damaged garbage disposal is grease. When the grease that is on your pans or food items is washed off, it will come off in the water and build up on all the pipes. Over time the grease will become thick and can cause the garbage disposal to shut down or not work as well. When that happens, food will clog and water will build up in the sink, making it hard for the water to go down the drains. Additionally, things that are hard to break down like egg shells and banana peels can both create damaging conditions for your home’s garbage disposal.

    • Why is There an Odor Coming From the Garbage Disposal?

Another common issue seen in garbage disposals is bad odors. This occurs when food gets caught in the garbage disposal and starts to deteriorate. The odor can be overwhelming and hard to get rid of. While some customers may attempt to remedy these issues, without the proper damage you can cause a more serious issue or, worst of all, hurt yourself. Bono Plumbing, LLC. can help you get rid of the embarrassing and bad odor. We have the perfect products to get the job done quickly and efficiently. We will even get rid of all the unwanted food that was left behind in the garbage disposal.

    • What Are Professional Garbage Disposal Repair Services?

While there are many reasons why a garbage disposal can malfunction, repair is one of the few solutions. Repairs include the inspection of the garbage disposal should there be food or debris stuck inside, the removal of this odor causing issue can also be remedied. While maintenance can prevent these issues, once you have them seeking professional services is always the best course of action. Bono Plumbing, LLC. has the right solutions for you! • Sump Pumps

    • What Should You Consider When Choosing a Sump Pump?
      • Your Needs – You’ll need to choose the best sump pump for your needs. One of your most important decisions will be whether to invest in a Battery Backup Sump Pump. Heavy rain is often accompanied by power outages, and the standard sump pump doesn’t operate without electricity.

A Battery Backup Sump Pump will continue to protect your home and belongings even when you lose power. It also is a fail-safe in case the primary pump fails.
      • Warranty – Also, consider the equipment warranty. You’ll get a better warranty when a professional plumber installs and maintains your system.
      • “Do-it-yourselfer”? – Well, this is one of those times that you should rely on an experienced, licensed plumber and not a how-to manual. You can buy the best sump pump available, but it won’t do any good if it is not installed properly. So, don’t take any chances.

By calling Bono Plumbing, LLC, you’re better informed and can be comfortable knowing that you have the best sump pump system for your home. That’s our goal – to help you protect your home and valuables and save you the headache of a messy cleanup and potentially costly, time consuming remodel.

    • Why Choose Bono Plumbing for Your Sump Pumps?

We’ve seen the damage and chaos caused by a flooded basement – it can be truly heartbreaking. No one should have to go through that.

  • Leaks or Burst Pipes

    • What Causes a Burst or Leaking Pipe?

There are several reasons why a water pipe may burst and leak. A corroded pipe can easily be weakened and eventually break with enough water pressure. A frozen pipe is another common issue. The frozen pipe is weakened and can easily break with the regular water pressure entering your home. Additionally, invasive roots can be the culprit. If you have large trees with deep roots, these roots can eventually grow and break the pipes that are older and weaker. Old piping is ever in danger of bursting, so it is recommended to have your pipes of the highest quality upgrade available. Similarly, large clogs can result in unnecessary pressure which in turn will burst the pipes in your home. No matter what the cause for your burst pipe, Bono Plumbing, LLC. has the solution for you!

    • What Are Common Signs of a Burst or Leaking Pipe?

Not all burst pipes imitate Niagara Falls! Most of the time, the indicators are much more subtle, yet can be just as damaging and costly. Obvious and not so obvious leaks can be a sign of a burst pipe. A bulge in the ceiling or floor, dampness, and black or green discoloration on floors and walls, are all signs that you have a leaking pipe. Noisy pipes and loss of water pressure can also indicate a leak somewhere in your plumbing system. Having our expert staff provide your home with regular inspections and leak detection services, you can prevent burst pipes from ever occurring!

    • What Type of Damage Can Occur From a Burst or Leaking Pipe?

Aside from hundreds of gallons of water flowing into your living room or as much as three bathtubs of water can run from the burst pipe an hour. Whole cities, blocks, or neighborhoods, can be completely shut down for days. Then of course there’s the potential for property damage, putting you, the homeowner, out of your home for weeks. Mold growth, slab leaks and damage to your drywall can all occur with a burst pipe. Additionally if your home is two or more stories you could be looking at extensive roof damage should the burst pipe be in an upstair bathroom. Moreover, the potential cost from your water bill will be simply astronomical. Before homeowners have any idea there is a leak, their water bill can skyrocket into hundreds or thousands of dollars. One faucet dripping just twice every minute can cause more than 1,000 gallons of water or more to be wasted over one three month billing cycle. For faucets that leak a steady stream the width of a pen tip the waste can grow to 10,000 gallons or more during that same billing cycle. If you’re facing a burst pipe, the faster that it is repaired the less damage it can cause in your home and putting your family’s health at risk with the creation of mold.
